How Old Should I Be Before I Could Become An HGV Driver?
18, the legal age to begin HGV training is 18 and over. However, you’ll need to ensure that you already possess the full licence.
Where Will I Do My Training?
Depending on the school you select your location can vary. HGV training usually consists of a variety of training elements such as video call, online, and even on your personal computer. If you’re interested in personal training, you can easily do so at the site of your school.
When it comes to the driving aspect, this is usually done in other areas nearby. However, it should be noted that the driving element consists of both off-road and normal road driving in order to gain your c1 driving licence. During the sessions, you’ll learn to master the art of manoeuvring and reversing.
How Many Tests Do I Have To Take?
You’ll need to take 4 tests. 2 of them are theory-based and focuses on hazard perception and some multiple choice. The other 2 are the practical aspects of your course. While it may seem like a lot of tests, don’t worry because we’ve got you covered.
How Long Does It Take To Get Qualified?
The length of time spent on training depends on the training school that you’ve decided to attend. When you sign up with Easy as HGV, your training will take as little as 4 days and you’ll be almost ready to be qualified.
However, you’ll still need to do a couple of other things before you begin the course. A designated member of staff will provide the information and help you get past this stage.
How Much Does It Cost?
In some cases, you get what you pay for but with pristine HGV training, you don’t need to spend a fortune. When you sign up with us, your course will be delivered in just 4 days and you’ll be out on the road in no time. If you’re still wondering about the exact figure, it simply depends on the school of your choice.
Which CPC Do I Need?
If you didn’t already know, your Driver CPC is critical and one of the most important parts of becoming a driver. In essence, you won’t be able to drive without this. As such, you’ll need to ensure that you have your Driver Qualification Card before you can take the initial qualification.
The DQC consists of both practical and theoretical tests. Upon completion, you’ll be granted a maximum of 5 years to complete the 35 hours of training required. When you think about it, this amounts to only 7 hours each year. Keep in mind that since it’s periodic training, you need to be present and you’re not allowed to fail!
